HNmk2 Fanfic - Gotta Have Gear! Chapter 2

A few hours later, after Mina and Blanc came to pick up Rom and Ram, Nepgear, IF, and Compa were walking home together.
"Gear, there's something I need to talk to you about," IF said to Nepgear.
"What is it, IF?" Nepgear asked.
Compa blushed.
"Um...I think I had better run on ahead first!" she said frantically before running toward the Basilicom.
"What's wrong with Compa?" Nepgear thought aloud.
Just then she felt IF's hand wrap around her's. She turned back toward IF, who was looking at her lovingly.
"IF?"
"Nepgear," IF began, "tell me, what did our kiss mean to you?"
Nepgear blushed, and looked away a little.
"I know at the time it was just to help me get my confidence back so I could activate HDD and defeat Underling...but ever since that day, this feeling has been slowly growing in my heart. I know we're close friends, but I can't help but l-...lo-... I can't!"
Nepgear fell to her knees, buried her face in her hands, and started to sob.
"I feel so filthy," she cried, "We're such close friends, but being around you feels so awkward, and impure thoughts flood my mind. I'm so sorry, IF!"
Just then, IF realized. Nepgear was as much, if not more, in love with her as she was with Nepgear. IF smiled and sat down beside Nepgear.
"Don't cry, Gear," she said to Nepgear sweetly, "Your beautiful eyes are much more beautiful when they're smiling."
Nepgear's crying ceased instantly. She turned and looked at IF, with a mixture of surprise and deep love in her eyes.
"IF.." Nepgear said, "Do you...also...l-...lo-..."
"Quit with the damn stuttering and and just say the word already!" IF said, smiling, "The sooner you say it, the sooner we can have a REAL first kiss."
Nepgear smiled lovingly and wrapped her arms around IF.
"Oh, IF!" Nepgear cried happily, "I love you so much!"
"I love you too, Nepgear," IF replied sweetly, holding Nepgear closer.
She then gently put her hand on the back of Nepgear's head. Their faces moved slowly toward each other, until their lips were gently touching...

Compa didn't stop running until she was in the Basilicom. The last thing she wanted was to ruin IF and Nepgear's (hopefully) loving moment.
"Yo, whassup, Compa?" Neptune said cheerfully as soon as she saw Compa, "Where are Iffy and Nep Jr., and whatcha all huffy-puffy like that for?"
"Nep-Nep, guess what!" Compa shouted happily.
"Ooooh! I suck at guessing games, so just tell me!"
"Iffy and Ge-Ge may come back holding hands!"
"Oh boy, did Iffy break her cellphone and go baby on us again?"
"No, silly! Iffy is in love with Ge-Ge and is asking her out! ...I think she is, anyway. Maybe not, because she seemed kinda nervous."
"If Nep Jr. has a girlfriend, I, as her big sister, have to approve of her."
"Nep-Nep, it's just Iffy, silly!"
"Oh yeah, that's true! They aren't gonna be all smoochy-smooch all the time now are they? Gross-out!"
Just then, Nepgear and IF walked in, holding hands and smiling.
"Yay!" Neptune cried happily, "Negotiation successful!"
"Congratulations, Iffy and Ge-Ge!" Compa shouted happily.
"Calm down you two!" IF said, smiling, "It's not like we're getting married...yet."
Nepgear blushed and smiled at the thought.
"Then we'll be related, Iffy!" Neptune shouted happily, before glomping IF to the floor.
"Ouch!" IF yelled, "Well I guess every good thing has a price."
"Boooo! Meanie Iffy!"
"Awww, Iffy's gonna be Nep-Nep's sister?" Compa whined, "I feel kinda jealous."
Neptune gets up and hugs Compa.
"You'll know you'll always be my bestest friend, Compa!" she told her.
"These two have had some 'more than friends' experiences before too," IF told Nepgear, "That's why we've stopped letting them use the same bed."
Nepgear covered her mouth, and her eyes widened.
"I-i-it wasn't like that at all!" Compa cried, blushing, "Nep-Nep just always wants to snuggle with my hair and use it as a pillow!"
IF and Nepgear started laughing.
The two girls were now a couple, and very happy. However, IF was not the only girl after Nepgear's heart, and things would soon start to heat up as two more of Nepgear's close friends were each determined to have her for themselves...
